Twenty one years ago on July 7th 1989 popular taxi driver Henry Hurley was found dead in the Cratloe/Sixmilebridge area. The crime was never solved and the perpetrators never brought to justice.
Last week the Irish Crimestoppers Trust appealed for new information on the case.
The killing is also being investigated by members of the Garda’s Serious Crime Review team, the unit set up in 2007 to investigate unsolved murders and other cold cases.
Mr Hurley died violently at Reaskcamoge, Sixmilebridge. His last known movements were when he was seen in the company of two men in his new white Nissan taxi between Setrights Cross and Gallows Hill.
