A major fundraising concert in support of SCAR, Second Chance Animal Rescue, will be held in the Oakwood Arms on Saturday 17th July.
The concert will feature a performance by well known Tulla-based performer Larry McEvoy who sings a range of country and western and Irish songs.
The musical evening will get off to a flying start at 8.30pm led by other well established artists, Mike Cleary and Cairde Ceoil who have very kindly offered their services on a voluntary basis for the evening.
SCAR does tremendous work throughout Shannon, Newmarket, Sixmilebridge and throughout the county. Its team of volunteers are dedicated to the rescue, welfare and finding new homes for abused or abandoned animals. The organisation depends almost entirely on voluntary contributions from the general public.
Tickets for the musical extravaganza are affordably priced at just €5. Each ticket purchased represents a significant contribution towards alleviating the suffering of unfortunate animals. Tickets are available from reception at the Oakwood Arms and at the door on the night.
